Correctly caring for your DUST + WAVES products is essential!
All dyes used in fabrics and wearables are considered colorfast and permanent. However, preventative washing is important to make sure any residual dye has been washed away.
DYED FABRICS should be pre-washed prior to using. Please use a warm, delicate washer cycle - and two rinses if your fabric is particularly dark in color. The fabrics have been washed using textile detergent and “color catchers” before being sent to you, however it is important for you to pre-wash them to limit any more dye fallout. I am not liable for any dye bleeding that may occur in your projects once the fabric has been used.
DYED WEARABLES should be washed ALONE! for the first couple of washes, on a delicate cycle. There is a potential for dye bleeding to occur in your washer if you put your dyed wearable in with a regular load of laundry. All dyed wearables have been washed using textile detergent and “color catchers” before being sent to you. I am not liable for any dye bleeding that may occur in your laundry.
QUILTS + PILLOW COVERS may be machine washed on a cool/cold delicate cycle, and may be tumble dried on low heat. All quilted items will crinkle after washing and drying. The less often you wash your quilted goods, the longer they will live!
